nice price deal !!! berlin based resopal label head mri returns with his second remix package of tracks off his album heroes. this second 12 comes with 4-to-the-floor tracks which will kick, but in a very smooth and warm way. ahmet sisman is the turkish/ german sensation who is already making international waves with his strong batch of releases, flagged by sven väth and mathias kaden as one to watch. ahmet has been on mri s radar for sometime. with a dense impact of heavy efx and speaker-rattling low-end bass, ahmet is the perfect match for mris track filthy lesson to remix too. the b side contains the original mix by mri and is simply modern house that will blow your mind.
1st on side a: big disco boogie re-edited, kicks off with guitar riff building up with female vocal, filtered breaks then comes into main vocal parts.
2nd tune on side a: summery disco with breezing feel, uptempo percussion intro, funky boogie riff into catchy horn section with leads synth… one for the beach session!
1st on side b: mighty disco edit. after the first break the tune really kicks into funky groove with strong female vocal with infectious chorus. keep your attention high!

after a two-year wait since tadd mullinixs last release as james t. cotton, the man storms back with on time, four tracks packed with more music than any ep has a right to. the titular first cut announces itself with tight jacks and bouncing bass before a male voice begins an endless >on time< mantra, twisting and churning furiously through more than eight minutes. the short n sweet >octopus< mines drexciya territory with granular synths and washes of static. >on time (rick wades grimetime remix)< is a decidedly sexy, nocturnal house reinvention of the original, pushing languorous keys to the fore. >jak your own stars< builds slowly with rubberband bass, cowbells, and an 8-bit melody till some nasty 808s toy with the funk.

this third release in the series mostly touches on the magic of jamie principle. however, this ep opens with a sublime deep vocal track originally released on trax sub-label saber in 1991 by ace & the sandman (who are also responsible for the virgo four tracks). featured here are some of jamie principles best tracks, produced by frankie knuckles. as with many trax releases, there are lots of unreleased , reel to reel only mixes around. we came across an unreleased version of >bad boy<. the quality is not at best, but we included it nevertheless. magic stuff!
